The history of BMW motorcycles comes to life as you walk through the stunning collection of classic BMWs and Steib sidecars housed in the Vintage Museum. There are currently around 30 bikes and 5 sidecars on display, the oldest being an original, un-restored 1925 R32, which was BMW’s first production model. Visitors will also see one-of-kind race bikes, rare antiques, a 30+ year-old “Slash 5” model that has never been ridden, and another one with over 600,000 miles on it!
All major periods of BMW’s illustrious past are represented, with informative text panels to help enliven the story. Additionally, showcases feature hundreds of rare parts and accessories, trophies, curious collectibles, BMW toys, and scale models. There is even a fabulous archive of BMW advertising art and literature displayed throughout the concourse. Frequent visitors say they discover something new with every visit!
