The Canton Classic Car Museum is focused on the rare and exclusive car models and numbers for now about 40 unique examples from Marschall Belden's Collection. The exhibited items cover the period from a 1901 curved-dash Oldsmobile to a 1970 Plymouth Super Bird. Some of the featured automobiles include the 1911 Model T Ford and the 1966 Ford Mustang, that were hits by selling at the American automobile market.
One of the rooms is focused on 1930s cars that are related as being art pieces. Some of them are Packard, Marmon, Pierce-Arrow, Cadillac and Cord. The museum possesses one of 7 cars built in Canton Ohio - the Holmes, the world’s only full sized air-cooled car. Other unique examples of American automotive industry include a 1937 Ahrens-Fox Quad, a fire truck in its original state, the 1937 Studebaker President Bullet-Proof Police Car, the 1962 Amphicar, 1957 BMW Isetta and others.
The visit to the museum will be not complete without precious items of memorabilia that add to the general impression and help you catch the geist of previous epochs.
The museum is open from 10 am to 5 pm for all. The gift shop offers lots of things you can take home and leave a small reminder of those pleasant moments you have spent here.
