Hawick Museum is a rare example of a museum where fine art, transport exhibits and other artifacts have been gathered under one roof to show off the culture and traditions of the region. The museum is located in a Victorian building Wilton Lodge with a wonderful huge park that adds much to the general atmosphere. The mansion has been the residence of the museum since 1911 after it was bought and redesigned by Hawick Town Council.
The motorcycle collection is presented by the Jimmie Guthrie and Steve Hislop exhibitions that are quite attractive for a vast number of motorcycle enthusiasts.
The town's hand-painted war memorial inscriptions are also located in the museum.
For the list of current exhibitions see the page of the museum.
