The Lincolnshire Road Transport Museum is located at Whisby Road, North Hykeham, Lincoln and offers a collection of 65 vintage cars, buses and commercial vehicles covering an 80 year period of road transport history.
The Lincolnshire Museum together with Lincolnshire Vintage Vehicle Society aim to preserve and restore historic vehicles thus conducting an educational function and raising public interest to the history of the period.
In addition to vehicle displays there are also displays of small artefacts, model vehicles and displays with information, photographs and posters from the past.
The classic vehicle rally at Lincoln Castle is held annually in summer on the basis of the museum. Besides they participate at RAF Waddington International Air Show attracting in such a way more people to the show. Open Days at Easter and in November have also become traditional events for showcasing the vehicles.
