Twin Lakes Campground is a wonderful place to stay for a group, family or those who are craving for solitude. The surrounding scenery of the Sierra Nevada Mountains attracts to take a hiking, bike or other tour. There are lots of activities throughout the whole year: fishing, boating, hiking and wildlife viewing. There are lots of species to be watched: mountain lions, black bear, pine marten, pika and others.
The site is located not far from the town Mammoth Lakes, California so that the town amenities are within close reach.
The eastern Sierras lakes are rich on trout species and are great for fishing and waterfalls viewing. The calm waters are great for canoes and kayaks.
There are some fantastic trails: a 4-mile trail on Mammoth Mountain and two shorter nature trails along the lakes.
In summer families can have a special educational programs. There is everything to make your stay comfortable: campfire rings, picnic tables, drinking water, flush toilets.
